Taicho is an open-source product developed by Vector Notion Digital in Bengaluru, India. It exists because most “AI automation” products collapse intelligence, orchestration, and delivery into one black box.

The thesis
Intelligence and delivery are different systems. Intelligence needs context, reasoning, provenance, and human decisions. Delivery needs schedules, retries, credentials, and channel adapters. Combining them makes both sides harder to understand and harder to replace.
The product
Taicho owns the intelligence layer: workspace Chat, fixed workflows, structured artifacts, business state, attention policy, and feedback from external outcomes. External orchestrators own physical execution.
The interface
The interface is deliberately calm. Chat is the single conversational surface. Notifications appear only for meaningful external activity. Workflow status is explicit. Permission controls stay visible. Nothing pretends the system is more complete than it is.
The direction
We are moving from product silos and visible agent machinery toward stable intelligence contracts. Users should care about the decision they need and the artifact they receive—not which internal agent happened to generate it.
Why open source
The workflow contracts, event policies, permissions, and artifact boundaries should be inspectable. Open source makes the architecture part of the product rather than a promise hidden behind the product.
